The spirit of Halloween

Halloween is fast approaching and there is nothing that is making me more happy! As you all have probably experienced,  every year pretty much every fan of the holiday creates a bucketlist of all these Pinterest worthy activities to fill your Autumn/Fall with every kind of themed goodness ever created!

For me, it's the activities and the sights of the seasons that just make everything that much better. I love to decorate the house and spend hours on pinterest looking at all of these fabulous different things that I can do that will magically make Autumn a more memorable experience.

This halloween, I have given myself permission to go a bit more crazy with the festivities. I love getting the house ready, dressing up and baking everything possible to put spices into it.

Bucketlist

  • Carve pumpkins- this is by far the messiness and most fun part of Halloween because with can be a little artistic with the carvings and of course I bake pumpkin pie as often as humanely possible sorry not sorry.
  • Turn out the lights and have a movie fest- it's the perfect way to set the scene, to create yourself a little halloween movie marathon. Whether you're going for "I'll never sleep with the lights off again" or just some family spooky fun, the possibilities are endless. I'll be sharing my 'must watch' list for halloween soon!
  • Make your own popcorn- my fave thing is when youre pop corn is still warm, throw in a bit of chocolate chips. The chocolate melts slightly and you get chocolatey goodness in a bowl!
  • Take an evening walk- get out there and appreciate the jack o' lanterns or whatever other spooky wonders your locals have created for you.
  • Light thse scented candles up! There is so much choice when it comes to seasonal scents, brands and jar decorations that it's impossible to not get yourself a cheeky little themed candle this yeah!
  • Have a bonfire- and remember to be fire safe!
  • Create yourself a halloween playlist with all of the family favourites- give yourself the opportunity to break into the 'time warp' or dance to thriller. Its the perfect way to cheer anyone up in my opinion.
I hope you all have a great time trying it some of these activities. What are some of your favourite Halloween related things to do?

Love,
Louise x

  1. I luuuuuuuuuuurve an evening winter walk. There is nothing better than wrapping up warm and heading out in scalves and hats to look at all the pretty decorations. I can't carve pumpkins to save my life so spend most of my time admiring other, much more artistic(!!), people's attempts!

    1. I completely agree about the walk Katie! My pumpkin craving skills are limited I will admit but I'm going to try something a little harder this year. Wish me luck haha.
